Couples therapy can help

Relationships can be deeply fulfilling — but they can also feel confusing, painful, or stuck. Whether you’re navigating conflict, communication breakdowns, loss of intimacy, or recurring patterns that leave you feeling misunderstood or disconnected, couples therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and begin again.

In our work together, I support you both in exploring how you relate to yourselves and to each other. We’ll look at the patterns that have taken shape over time, the unspoken expectations, the hurts that haven’t healed, and the longing for closeness that may sit just beneath the surface.

My approach is collaborative and relational. I draw from a blend of therapeutic models to support this work, including person-centred therapy, which creates space for empathy and authenticity; psychodynamic insight, which helps us understand the deeper roots of your relational dynamics; and cognitive behavioural strategies, which offer practical ways to shift unhelpful cycles. Rather than applying a fixed method, I shape the work around your unique relationship and what it needs to thrive.

As a trauma-informed therapist, I also work sensitively with couples where one or both partners have experienced domestic abuse, relational trauma, or complex early experiences. In these cases, safety, boundaries, and emotional pacing are central to our work.
